Set in the 2030s, Neil Marshall’s dystopian adaptation of National Lampoon’s Vacation is equal parts Escape from New York and The Road Warrior.
To put it simply, it is one of the greatest things ever captured on film.

In 1997, ex-Special Forces operative turned thief, Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) is tasked with rescuing the President of the United States (Donald Pleasance) from Manhattan, which has been turned into maximum security prison.
Along the way, Snake gets to meet colorful locals, see a show, fly a glider, see a show, have an underground boxing match, race cars in a minefield, and get tortured! It’s a good thing he got his “immunity” shots before he left…
