AKA How this woman helped get every other book Tumblr loves published and allowed creators like Neil Gaiman, Garth Ennis, Grant Morrison, and Warren Ellis (to name a few) to grow into the giants they are today.
The cult-hit series starring Gwen, the hipster zombie chick with plenty of monster friends, has been announced to reach its conclusion with its 28th issue this August.
I’ve been reading the series since issue #1, and while it’s been a lot of fun, and Mike Allred’s art is a constant reminder of how awesome his pop-art style is, it did seem to me like a conclusion was in sight and that it would be coming sooner than later.
Luckily, it does seem that the series isn’t being abruptly cancelled, but is rather going to reach more of a natural conclusion with an epic ending according to writer Chris Roberson.
